Federer finally posts a win. He beat Davydenko 6-4, 6-3 in his second match of this year’s Masters cup.
It was a nervous match for Federer. He continued to run around his backhand to hit a forehand; but, Davydenko didn’t take advantage of the open court left as Gonzalez did in the previous match. And, for the first time in a while Federer was going for too many slice backhands. His backhand is probably on a vacation. On the other hand, the forehand was good today though he was making lot of errors in that wing too.
Finally, he did just enough to win the match. The next match against Roddick will be interesting. Roddick might very well be getting ready for his first win over Federer in more than four years.
